Vehicle auction service “MUST” along with Bitrix CRM integration for «must.ru» platform

As part of the task, the MUST commercial vehicles auction was developed for the must.ru platform, setting up business processes and finalizing the Bitrix24 CRM for internal accounting and auction management.

The MUST service system is the Main Universal Standard of Transactions (deals) for commercial vehicles and construction equipment markets. The project was created for companies interested in purchase and sale of cargo, construction and transport equipment. It is a platform for connecting those who sell equipment with those who want to buy it.

This project provides:

  • Quality and condition check
  • Legal and customs status check
  • Purchase and sale transaction support
  • Auction opening
  • History check of a vehicle

During the project the following was implemented:

  • Server part for storing data on vehicles and auctions
  • User interfaces
  • Mobile API application for on-site inspection experts
  • Integration of all processes related to the Corporate Portal
  • Following services were integrated into the system: Call Tracking and NBPAI (National Bureau of Automobile History Verification).

Feedback forms, asking for a call, application for purchase and sale of a vehicle made it possible to collect leads from any part of the system. An API developed separately for this task makes it possible to easily and quickly connect any third-party landing pages and new forms.

Business processes configured in the Bitrix24 Corporate Portal allow to:

  • Keep records of all leads and transactions and
  • Vehicle inspection statuses;
  • Coordinate transactions;
  • Track customer interests and needs through the supply and demand matrix.

After initial approval, legal status and good title check of a vehicle, a prototype with a description is created in the database. An inspection application is attached to the prototype. The draft goes to the bidding exchange in the mobile application. Experts receive notifications when inspection requests appear nearby and can select a vehicle for inspection. Having the contact details of the owner the expert arranges a meeting with the seller.

Upon arrival at the site, the expert, using a phone and a mobile application, inspects the vehicle, fills in the description fields in the application, takes photographs and videos. Once the inspection is completed, the information gets into the database and the process of moderation and dates and prices approval in the auction module begins.

Based on the parameters of the vehicle the internal market value calculation system determines the optimal price for trading and the maximum (redemption) price. Once agreed on conditions and contracts are signed, the vehicle pre-sale preparation is carried on, the auction start date and the date of the hot bidding phase are settled.

When the auction starts any user with sufficient status and a security deposit of the required amount on the site’s internal account can place a bid. Bets and their history are displayed in real time.

Upon successful completion of the auction, the business process to register the vehicle is launched in the portal. During the phase account managers contact the auction winner, contact the seller and follow up the entire purchase and sale transaction.

As part of the project, the following tasks were completed:

  1. Integration with NBPAI

    NBPAI (National Bureau of Automobile History Verification) is a service that provides services for legal status check across all banks and government databases. As part of web-site develpment, the following tasks were implemented:

    • Integration with the NBPAI service API
    • Configured processing and tracking of request statuses and responses to them;
    • “Certificates of good title” in PDF format generation, corporate design.

    These features are implemented as a separate module on the site. Also within the framework of this module, a service has been implemented for end-to-end integration of functionality into all parts of the system.

  2. Business processes

    Several business processes were created In the corporate portal powered by a box version of “1C-Bitrix Corporate Portal” using the built-in business process designer and its extension through its own module. That allowed to:

    • Speed up processing of incoming requests (leads) by an account manager
    • Establish the process of introducing new cars into the system
    • Simplify the work of account managers by automating routine actions
    • Integrate the portal with the rest of the system
    • Organize an end-to-end identification of all vehicles
    • Visually display and synchronize the statuses of vehicles and applications in all parts of the system

    These features are implemented as a separate module on the site. Also within the framework of this module, a service has been implemented for end-to-end integration of functionality into all parts of the system.

    Main business processes:

    Processing an incoming message

    • Search and create a contact and company
    • Clients call tasks automation for sales
    • Filling out company’s initial forms, segmenting companies according to target parameters for the marketing department
    • Monitoring the manager’s response time to requests (mail and SMS notifications to the head of the department)
    • Customization of standard business process task forms to ensure convenience for employees

    Creating an application for initial inspection (NBPAI, statuses)

    • Filling in vehicle parking data - integration with Yandex and Google maps
    • Filling out vehicle data - integration with the vehicle nomenclature directory (category-Type-Brand-Model-Series-Modification), as well as the main parameters of the vehicle (Axle arrangement, engine volume, etc.)
    • Automated good title verification (NBPAI)
    • Appointment of a person responsible for inspection
    • Transferring the vehicle card (prototype) to the database and then to the mobile application as an inspection request

    Fulfilling an application and moderation

  5. Mobile API

    • Fast JSON REST API for mobile application integration

  6. Integration with FMV (Fair Market Value)

    Integration with the service for calculating fair market value (implemented by the client’s specialists) using the JSON-REST API. Provides data on price ranges of certain vehicle brands and models. As a result of the improvements, the following features appeared:

  7. Vehicle Directory

    • A system for storing and retrieving data on the relationship between brands, models, and types of vehicles, their technical specification and variations.
    • API service for obtaining directory data.
  8. Export and import module

    Each site contains a copy of the export/import module, which allows you to synchronize properties, their value options and specific vehicles between different platforms.
